Using deadstock polyamide in underwear production

Did you know that there are stocks of textiles already produced waiting to be recovered and used?

These are called ‘deadstock’, surplus from previous productions, and offer a sustainable and innovative approach to fashion. And when it comes to underwear, polyamide can be an excellent choice, thanks to its outstanding properties.

Why Polyamide?

Polyamide is a versatile synthetic fiber ideal for underwear thanks to:

  • Durability: it resists wear and tear, ensuring a long life for your lingerie.
  • Stretch: provides a comfortable fit and optimal support.
  • Moisture absorption: absorbs water very well without retaining it.
  • Quick drying: a practical choice for everyday wear.

It’s also worth mentioning that, in the case of our underwear, all the pieces have a guset (the bottom of the underwear and bodysuits) made of 100% organic cotton so that you can feel as comfortable as possible.

Ecological Benefits of Using Deadstock Polyamide

Using deadstock polyamide reduces the fashion industry’s environmental impact:

  • Waste reduction: textiles are recovered, whereas not using them would be waste.
  • Conserving resources: it reduces the need to produce new materials by conserving water, energy and chemicals.
  • Low carbon footprint: re-use reduces carbon emissions associated with textile production.

At NALU, we are dedicated to creating beautiful and sustainable underwear. By including deadstock polyamide in our collections, we are taking a step towards a greener future.
